Pedal to Empower

Ride Information

Ride Location:

NYS Empire State Trail West to Port Byron

Date:

06/03/2023

Organized By:

Peter Ricciardiello

Time of Ride:

08:00am

Notes:

This ride starts at the canal trailhead behind Freedom of Espresso in Fayetteville, NY, and will pedal 45 miles west on the NYS Empire State trail to Port Byron, NY. The ride will then return via the same trail, effectively cycling 90 miles round-trip. Note that the trail consists of mixed surfaces, with some asphalt and a lot of packed gravel. This ride will not be officially supported, meaning each cyclist will need to bring his/her own hydration and food for an approximate five-hour ride. This ride is also somewhat weather depending, meaning that should the weather forecast call for moderate rain prior to the ride's start, we will not ride. We may attempt a rain date of Sunday, June 4, 2023.
