WBR500 is back!
The past few years have been challenging for everyone, but they have also shown us the importance of bicycles in local and global contexts. That's why we are excited to announce that the WBR500 is back! On June 3, 2023, we will ride 500 km in support of World Bicycle Relief's annual Pedal to Empower ride. And on June 3rd, a group of like-minded individuals will ride 500km (311 miles) on Zwift in one day to help raise awareness for World Bicycle Relief.
We wanted to offer flexibility to join WBR500 without feeling like you needed to complete the full 500km. So we are offering 10 x 50km rides. Join as little or as much as you like. To complete the full WBR500 you will need to join each of the 10 rides offered every 90 minutes at a 2.2 to 2.6 w/kg average, starting at 2:00 AM PDT. If you don’t quite make the 500km total in those 10 rides, feel free to jump back into Tempus and complete your 500km. https://www.zwift.com/eu/events/tag/wbr500
By participating in the WBR500, fundraising, or making a donation, you can help us provide brand new bicycles to individuals and communities in need. Be a part of this amazing effort to create positive change in the world. In the first two years, we raised over $250,000, and this year, we're aiming for an even bigger impact!

World Bicycle Relief mobilizes communities in rural regions around the world to thrive with life-changing bicycles. By combining product development with community-led programming and social enterprise, students, community service providers, farmers, and entrepreneurs can improve their access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities with a purpose-designed Buffalo Bicycle supported by an ecosystem of sustainable mobility.
Since 2005, our community has helped us distribute over 715,000 Buffalo Bicycles in 21 countries across Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America. These bicycles have empowered millions of individuals, including students, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, and farmers. And by training over 3,000 mechanics and opening 72 Buffalo Shops, we've ensured a reliable supply chain of spare parts and generated retail sales that further fund our philanthropy.
